Punchout
Punchout is a method for businesses to purchase directly from the B2B webshop, without leaving their own e-procurement application, providing real-time catalog pricing and availability as on the website.
Chainbox offers a punchout module on a monthly subscription fee, based on the number of connections required. Please contact support@chainbox.dk for an estimate based on your requirements.
How does PunchOut with Chainbox work?
The customer opens the connection to the webshop directly from their e-procurement system.
The customer can browse and use all available functions, adding products to cart, search, order by wishlist, reordering from Archived Orders etch.
When the customer has finalized their order, the cart-items will be returned to their e-procurement system for amending and finalization of the order.
Placing the purchase order is not through the Chainbox module, but by available options from the e-procument system (email, EDI, XML etc.) directly to you.
What e-procument interfaces does Chainbox support?
Chainbox supports the following interfaces:
OCI3
OCI4
OCI5
cXML
If you are unaware what interface your provider uses, or wish to enquire regarding an interface not listed, don't hesitate to contact: support@chainbox.dk.
How do we get started?
1. Installation of the Chainbox PunchOut module
Chainbox installs the module in the codebase of your webshop. The module consists of components enabling the connection to the e-procurement system. Upon the installation you will be provided with the necessary documentation.
2. Required product attributes in PIM
E-producement requires the following two product attributes to exist in PIM:
UNSPSC - a classification code following the United Nations Standard Products and Service Code
Units - units of measure
3. Initial setup in PunchOut module in Umbraco
The installed module will appear in Umbraco in your Chainbox Toolbox with its own icon. You have options to define what fields contain the required product attributes, if named differently in PIM, to add fees and to create PunchOut logins based on Members.
