Landingpage (collection) document type
If you need a multitude of subpages, choose "Landingpage (Collection) and create numerous "Child items" on each collection-page, instead many landingpages with a long tree-structure as a result.
It will enable you to create a large collection of content sorted as you wish and presented per collection, in a clear visual manner. In below example a landing page is holding the navigation to 3 collection pages, with numerous childen under each.
Child items
This is how Child items will appear on a Landingpage (Collection). Click "Create Landingpage" to create Child items - no different from creating a regular landingpage
