With voucher management you can issue your own vouchers, whether it be reusable vouchers, product-specific vouchers, general vouchers, or vouchers with specific validity periods.
Great for promotional campaigns, handling claims or returns, rewarding loyal customers, or driving sales during specific periods.
Note: In order to utilize vouchers on your webshop, it is necessary to enable the voucher function in Umbraco within your Checkout settings. You can refer to the guide provided in the link below for detailed instructions on how to enable this feature:
Navigate to Webshop Management and choose Vouchers
Use the left-side filters to search existing vouchers by filter options available, search by creation date, or search in "Filter vouchers" by Voucher name or ID.
Press the "+" to add a new voucher.
The ID is the unique identifier code that customers must enter in the shopping cart to obtain their discounts. By default, the ID is automatically generated, but you can overwrite it with a custom code of your choice.
The voucher name is displayed in the customer's cart once they have entered the voucher code. Having a descriptive name for your vouchers will also help you keep track of vouchers in the voucher list.
Press the calendar-icon under "Valid dates" to set the period in which the voucher should be valid. Click "Update"
To set restrictions for your voucher, click inside the Voucher restriction area. Here, you have the option to choose specific product IDs to include or exclude from the voucher, as well as select specific groups.
Once you have made your choices, click "Done" to save. If you want the voucher to be applicable to all products and groups, leave the voucher restriction area blank.
To define the concept of "group" in your webshop, - for now only usable in this scenario with vouchers - you must define in Settings -> Group attribute path "data.attributedata.group". The field will serve as the basis for categorizing products into voucher groups.
The basis of this attribute should be set up as label: Group, code: group, datatype: String (single string) in PIM -> Define -> Attributes.
Product rules outweighs group rules. Excluded rules outweighs include rules. Eg. excluded products apply regardless of group relations.
Specify the currency for your voucher.
Specify the voucher value as a percentage. Setting a fixed amount for the voucher is not available.
If you want to set a minimum cart total requirement for the voucher to be valid, you specify the amount here.
Upon creation, the voucher will be assigned a status of "Unused". If the voucher is reusable, its status will change to "In use" once it has been added to a customer's cart.
Status "Used" is assigned to vouchers that have been redeemed and can no longer be used again. This applies to one-time use vouchers to prevent multiple redemptions.
Additionally, there is a "Deleted" status that can be manually set for vouchers. However, this is primarily for internal use and does not invalidate the voucher if it is still valid based on its conditions and restrictions.
If the voucher is enabled for multiple uses, it will remain valid for any customer who enters it in the webshop until the specified expiration dates are reached. In this case, the voucher can be utilized by multiple customers until its validity period expires.
