Families

Products can be arranged in families. It allows you to create and dedicate a tab/composition in product details, that contains the exact attributes relevant/mandatory to the specific family.

Navigation to families

Default is the family "Generic products" click the family to see details.

It is an option to select specific attributes to a family to have a record of what attributes are mandatory for each family, but no functionality is of yet assigned to these:

Create a family

Click the "Create family" button. Add a descriptive name in Label, choose a code if you do not wish to use the autogenerated code based on label.

Choose an icon and a color for the family. Click "Save".

Now you are ready to assign products to the family either on the product detail page, or by bulk action from product view.
