Locales

Under locales existing languages can be viewed, translation can be enabled, and new locales created by clicking "+".

When a locale exists here, and when translation is enabled, translating fields becomes an option in product- and category details corresponding to the languages existing in Locales

Create new locales

Click "+" to create new locales.

Search in filter field, or browse to find correct local - click the "+" to the right of local, and click "Done".

Translation

If translation is enabled, it gives the option to create translation in field types "String (HTML Localizable)" such as Long descriptions on products.

To take advantage of this option, enter a Long Description text in one language on a product.

Open the editor for a second language, and press the translate icon. Choose what language the translation should come from.

Review/correct the google translate text. Click "Done" and repeat on additional languages if needed.
