Options

In the subpages of this sections we look at how to create a view with the data and fields to fit a specific need.

Advanced table fields

Advanced table fields refers to fields (attributes) shown in your view overview. It will not affect the product detail view when clicking an individual product.

Changing table fields by adding more fields, is only relevant if display mode is "Table (advanced)". Other optional display modes will only contain ID and name on overview.

When working with large amounts of products display mode "Table (advanced)" is recommended.

When creating a new view from scratch defaults field automatically added are:

  • ID - always present in views since it is the unique identifier of the product

  • Name - product name from the ERP-system

Click "Edit" to add additional fields. Under each set (group of attributes) the related attributes are listed. Use the arrow to the right to open/close the different sets. Click "Done" and "Save" on the View settings page to add your selection to your view.

Sidebar filters

Sidebar filters helps you filter on data that you still want in your view, but could benefit from sorting on content or empty/populated, when actively working with product data.

In any view a category hierarchy is always available as a sidebar filter.

Saving sidebar filter to view

Go to "View settings" and open the sidebar filter set. Click "Edit". Tick the attributes that should be sidebar filter options. Click "Done". Click "Save". The chosen attributes are now available as sitebar filters on this view only.

Temporary sidebar filters

By pressing the "+" a quick-filters can be created that are not saved with the view.

Search out the relevant attribute and click "Done".

Filter is now added ready for use.

Using sidebar filters

The filter options for each filter depends on the datatype of the attribute. Here follows a few examples:

Integer
String
Tag/ENUM
Boolean

Set your filter/filters of choice. Note option to turn statement negativ by pressing the reverse symbol.

If a filter is activated, it will be visible in the blue line above the products. To remove filter click "x" either in the blue top line or above each filter in the sidebar.

Using sidebar filters in product view

Global filters

Global filters offers the opportunity to create advanced filters containing multiple attributes with a specific interconnection using and/or rules. These filters are not view specific, but will be available on all views. To learn more, please see below page link:

Keyword search fields

When searching in your view in "Filter products" results are shown from search into fields: ID and Name.

If you wish this search to be expanded to other fields, add these as Keyword search fields.

Click "Edit" and tick field/fields you wish added as keyword search fields. Click "Done" and click "Save" on view settings page to add your selection to your view.

Type your search word in "Filter products". The more specific search, the more precise result. The default searchfields mentioned above will still be active.

Display mode

Choose your preferred display mode from the drop down menu. Click "Save" to add your selection to your view.

You can always change display options on the front of the view, how ever these will not be saved with the view.

Enable user settings modifications

This function is only available to usertype administrators.

If this function is disabled, then only administrators in PIM will have access to do changes to a View settings. This can be practical with complexed views that the business is depended on is available at all times.
